Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very fun Memorial Day Weekend.
We wished we could have gone camping at the ocean with my family but considering, pregnancy gives me car sickness, I was not up for a 3 hour drive.
But we had a super fun weekend anyway. Saturday we went swimming!
Again Addie LOVES the water! She was the perfect size for this little seat and had a blast just floating in the water. She did dive out of it once but the pool was only a 2 feet deep so it was easy to catch her. She had a blast!

(a little snack time after swim)
They we played and went on the swings.

On Memorial day we went to Mt Veron Cemetery. They have all the flags set up and it looked amazing.
She was a bit of a stinker and would not pose for any pictures but I'm glad we kept this tradition this year.
She had a blast running around the flags. We had to keep her off the gravestones (she wanted to hop from stone to stone and play).
I finally got her to pose for one picture in front of a flag.
She looked darling in her festive attire.

We took her to her favorite place for lunch, Rubio's rice and beans.
We then went to see the Lego Movie at the Dollar theater, which is actually the $4 theater now, lame.
It was a very fun weekend and I'm so glad Keith had work off even if it was just a day to spend with us at home!

Busy Month of May

The Month of May has gone by so fast. I am finally starting to feel a little better and have a bit more energy.
The first week of May Addie had swim lessons.
She loved it!
One of the Days I was feeling very sick so Auntie Kaylie took her, so then I was able to get some pictures.

She learned some good first steps to swimming next year she will be old enough to learn how to actually swim, but it was a fun per-summer activity.
Addie is getting so big and will be 2 in just 2 days!
This is her playing in the sprinklers last week. She LOVES the water!
She thought it was so funny when Daddy would spray her with the hose or make it "Rain".
Even though Mommy has been very tired and sick Addie has been a very good sport.
This is her playing puzzles while Mommy napped on the couch.

Or when Daddy is home, in a effort to give Mom so quiet time Dad plays Mario Kart with her. She LOVES it! Addie is still convinced that I am having a baby Hippo. Anytime we talk about the baby she kisses my tummy and says baby hippo. I don't know how to explain to her that its a real baby.
But we sure have had a fun month.

We have a small Birthday Party planned for this girl on Sunday. Nothing to big but enough to make her feel special. But I am enjoying the last few days with my 1 year old before she turns two and becomes a big girl.

Baby Hippo

Addie is getting so big, and she is talking so much now.
Sometimes she will sit and jammer on, I think you can understand 10% of it, if that.
She also has started saying "I love you" all the time. It breaks my heart especially when she getting in trouble and she says "I love you Mama" Really can I really get mad at her now.
The other day Addie was jumping on my belly. I said be careful there's a baby in there. She asked, "Baby Hippo? Baby Dog? Baby Elephant?"
So hilarous! We tried to explain to her that it was a baby like her but that's a little much for a toddler to understand. I just thinks its hilarious that Addie thinks there is a baby Hippo wiggling inside me.

We started swim lessons this week too. She LOVES it, even though its been a little cold.
She asks me every night before bed if we are going swimming tomorrow, or "amorrow" as she says it.
This is her working with Papa at his office. She takes her work very seriously!

She also started saying "that's cool, funny." I don't know where she got this one, but its so funny when we are reading a book and she says "oh that's cool funny."
I love my Addie Ruth and love how much she is talking now.
