Addie Turns 3 part 2

This was the first year that Addie asked for a real friends party. She really wanted a Ariel, Under the Sea party. I had a blast making things for the party. I may have went a bit overboard for a 3 year old party but it was so fun and so worth it. Addie must have said thank you a hundred times that day. It made every minute so worth it. She was so so happy!

Food table
Cupcakes
We had "Flounders Fish Craft" where the kids could decorate a fish.
Cutest bay mermaid you ever did see!
Outside, we had Sebastion's Crab hunt (digging for treasures), "Triton's Fish hooks" (fishing game), and Bubble games.
It was hot, but everyone had a blast.
The boys got Pirate eye patches and the girls got Mermaid hairbows.
My mom did Mermaid face paint inside, and the kids loved it.
We ate clam shell cookies, sea jello, and cupcakes.
Her Favorite gift has probably been REAL cowboy boots from her uncle Jared. She loves them and wears them almost everyday, and even uses them as a bag to carry her favorite little toys around the house.

It was such a fun party! She still talks about it everyday! We love our big 3 year old Addie girl!

Addie turns 3 part 1

Addie turned 3 on June 1st!
We started the day at the donut shop where she picked out her very own pink  sprinkled donut!

She opened her big gift from Mom and Dad, a water table. And has played with it everyday since. She LOVES it!

We spent the day shopping with Grandma Dickson and playing with her new water table. Then for dinner, we went to her choice of a restaurant, Chick fil a.
She loved when everyone sang Happy Birthday to her and she got to eat a cupcake AND a cookie!
She opened a couple of gifts, very delicately.

...Liddy helped a little,

It was a perfect Birthday for this Birthday Princess.
We couldn't love this girl more. She is such a light and joy in our lives, and though she is a challenge sometimes and drives me crazy with her stubbornness, we love her so much and wouldn't want her any other way. She is my perfect Addie Ruth!

Memorial Day Festivities

Memorial Day Weekend was a blast. We went on a really fun hike on the American River Parkway trail. Keith wanted to show us his old commute (Keith used to bike 15 miles each way to work) We hiked about 2 miles in to this little park for a picnic.

Addie had so much fun looking at all the animals along the way. The trail was packed with other walkers and bikers, but it was still fun.
We attemped a family picture-Dad forget to take off his glasses, Liddy isn't looking and Addie is hidden by my hair, but it's still cute.
The girls were both in festive attire and they looked so cute!

Addie wanted to show off the trail we hiked and all the bikes...also notice the dry conditions of our poor California. We need water so bad!
Addie kept climbing out of the stroller because she wanted to "exercise" with the other runners of the trail. She kept saying, "Look Mom I escersing!"
We finished the day off with a Mexican Lunch and a local restaurant then went home to recop from the heat! It was such a fun Memorial Day!
