Can you keep a secret?

We are very excited to announce
that Addie will be a big sister in December!
I am horrible at keeping secrets,
especially one like this for too long!
We are so so happy to bring Baby Adair #2 home this year!!

Lately...

We have been very busy this past week or so...(as usual)
We took a break after a LONG day of working in the yard/house and went to the mall for dinner.
I think it made Addie's Night/week/month to get to ride the carosel. Seriously she talked about it for 2 days. Best three dollars I ever spent.
Then Sunday morning Addie woke up and immediatly asked for waffles. I think its a new tradition to have pancakes/waffles on Saturday or Sunday and Addie ALWAYS remembers.
So Happy eating her Sunday morning waffle...which she refused to let me cut up or even put on a plate.

Just the other night, Keith entertained Addie in the backyard so I could rest a bit. I went out there to see this....
He was taking her on a very bouncy piggy back ride and her giggles could be heard from across the house.
This girl LOVES her dad, or as she has taken recently to calling him, Keith. Ya not a big fan of that, (she also calls me Kim here and there) but it is kinda cute and smart. She is getting so big and is CONSTANTLY moving. I love it!

Easter

Better late than never...
We had the Dickson Easter Egg Hunt the day before Easter. Addie had a blast!
And she looked so darn cute in her little white dress.
This was just about the best picture I could get of Addie and I that day. And Yes she has candy in her mouth.

On Easter Sunday we went to my parents for dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. I made this bunny cake and LOVED how it turned out.

Addie had so much fun hunting for eggs at Grandma's house. This picture pretty much sums up how she looked the whole day.

And this one....

Then she pretty much crashed. Hunting for eggs is hard work.

She had to show us each egg she found before she could put it in the basket. She had so much more fun than last year and really got into this year.

It was a great Easter spent with family. We all had so much fun!

Easter Egg Dying

We dyed Easter eggs yesterday morning.
Addie had a blast!
She thought it was amazing that the eggs changed color after we dyed them.

She kept banging them together so we pealed one..
We don't usually eat hard boiled eggs so this was a new experience too...

She took one bite of the egg and spit it out. But I love her facial expression the whole time. Having a toddler during Easter is so Fun!

Eventful Night

We had a bit of an eventful night last night!
Addie woke up yesterday morning with a very high fever,
We gave her some medicine and a bath and her fever came down a bit but didn't go away.
She pretty much stayed like this all day.
She didn't have any other symptoms as far as I knew so we just treated the fever and waited it out.
This is pretty much how she looked all day...

So around 4 we were running low on teynol and I wanted to get her some juice because she hadn't had very much to eat or drink all day, so we went to Target.
She seemed ok, then out of the blue she started screaming, with the hurt cry.
I asked her wear it hurt and she pointed to her private and said, "it hurts, it hurts!"

So one thing lead to the next and we went straight to urgent care, where they took her temperature (which was at 103.5 SCARY!) and we sat for 3 hours trying to get her to pee in a bag. But finally we gave up and had to give her a catheter. Let me tell you! That was the HARDEST thing to watch! I don't want to ever have to do that again!

Anyways, they prescribed her some antibiotics for a Urinary Tract Infection and we finally headed home at 10:15.
Her fever finally broke early this morning and she has been much better today, (aside from being a little grumpy and sensitive, which is understandable.)
Oh what a Night, and I am so glad she is feeling better!

Easter Dress

I finally finished Addie's Easter Dress and I LOVE the way it turned out. Its probably one of my favorite dresses I've made for her. The print totally fits her bubbly personality.
My Mom took so many cute pictures of her in the dress, it was so hard to pick just one that I liked!
We had to sing to get her to smile...this is her singing "If you Happy and you Know it"
She is saying "Yay!"
Mommy and Baby...our hair color almost looks the same!
A little flower in the garden
I love the back of the dress
These are her Princess hands. All I had to do was pose for her and she would copy me....she's such a sweet Angel!

Talk about heart breaker!

I love my Addie Ruth!

Girl with her Donut

These pictures are from a few weeks ago, but they are just so darn cute!
Grandma gave her a donuts and you can see by the look on her face how much she loves it!

I love the little finger that is up.

So happy with a mouthful of doughnut!

These two pictures are from downtown El Dorado Hills where Keith works. She loved smelling the flowers and looking at the ducks.
Keith took her back up there Yesturday for an Easter Egg hunt and Carnival. It gave Mama a much needed break and they had a blast together.
Looking at the Ducks again....

I love my little monster.
I know this video is sideways...(videographer fail) but its mainly for listening anyways. If you listen close you can hear her say some pretty big words. Shes on this big repeating kick where EVERYTHING we say she repeats, and she enunciates very well for her age. This is her saying her shapes with her Papa. I love her cute little voice.
