Trusting Myself

We have been busy latley and not sleeping much with two sick kiddos but we are finally getting back to normal (fingers crossed). So here's a big picture dump of all we've been up to...
Here's an Addie original outfit. It was not raining this day, but rain-boots are good for everyday wear, right?
And here she is with her cute church dress. I was bugged that she just wouldn't smile but now I kinda think the tongue out picture is cute. It's so Addie.
And a sister shot. Addie really loves her sister.
So these next two pictures make me very happy! The first one was taken at the beginning of April right before her Doctor's apt. where her doctor said she was underweight. He wanted me to start baby food with her because she was so skinny but my Mommy instinct told me she wasn't quite ready yet. So he said that I needed to nurse her as much as possible, every hour to hour and half,  to help her gain weight. Nursing every hour is a HUGE commitment and very difficult, especially with a toddler.
So we tried it for the past 3 weeks and everyone has noticed a difference. Just look at her arms and neck rolls, she has really started to thicken up. Today I weighed her and she has gained a whole pound in less than a month. That is a HUGE accomplishment! I am so happy I went with my gut and stuck with Breastfeeding as long as I did. We are going to start solids tomorrow but I am super proud of myself to get us 5 months exclusively Breastfeed (not an drop of formula). Our bodies are truly amazing!
And just look at this big girl! She is rolling EVERYWHERE now and starting to push up.
Play time with Daddy!
Playing Mommy...

I took these pictures today. I think someday I'll look back on these pictures and miss their sweet innocence.
And sweet baby hands together...and really, Liddy's belly chub, delicious!
I love these two sisters, they really are the sweetest!

Easter

We went to several Easter Parties the past few weeks. A few weeks before Easter our friends invited us to their Easter party, complete with a HUGE egg hunt, baby bunnies and the Easter bunny. Addie loved it.

Easter Weekend was a blast!
We went to an Easter party at Dana's house. Addie, Lydia and Amelia looked so cute in their matching Easter dresses. Austin wasn't a huge fan of his matching bow tie, but it was so cute.
Lydia and Amelia 5 months apart. Lydia looks so chunky in this one. I LOVE her double chin.
Addie and Austin.

Do you see the resemblance? Lydia definitely looks a lot like a Dickson. We even joke that her and her Papa have the same hairline. Look at their matching blue eyes, so precious.

We had an Egg hunt at Dana's house and Addie loved it. But at the egg hunt and Grandpa Dickson's house the next day Addie went crazy!
There were A TON of eggs and only 6 kids out there. Addie FILLED her basket and still wanted more. Needless to say we have enough candy to last her, Mom and Dad for a long time. But she had a blast.

Look at that determination.

Traditional Cousin photo on Grandpa's rock.

Love this cute girl posing herself.

The night before Easter, Addie insisted that we had to put something out for the Easter Bunny. She was so excited in the morning when she saw that he had nibbled her carrots and celery. (poor excema face!)
The Easter Bunny brought Addie Chalk, bubbles, a movie, and books.

Lydia got books and a new rattle too. Daddy may have stolen her candy....

We had a yummy Easter breakfast, complete with Crepes, eggs and Orange Juice.

Then we colored eggs. Addie was fascinated that they changed color when dyed. She loved it.
It was a perfect Easter with my sweet family. I am so grateful for them.

Easter Dresses

We took Easter pictures of the girls this weekend. As tradition, I made the girls Easter dresses. It was so fun to make matching dresses for them. I even had time to whip one up for cousin Amelia and a tie for Austin. They will all look so cute at the Easter party today!

Addie loved posing with the daffodils and is looking so big! She will be 3 in just 2 months! She is my inquisitive, talkative, sassy girl. She talks ALL THE TIME. Seriously never stops. She constantly surprises us with things she says.  She loves making up songs and singing and dancing. She tells us she will be a doctor when she grows up and a Mommy. She loves nursing her babies and pretending to doctor them. (she even gets in trouble for trying to "fix up" the baby, Thanks Doc McStuffins)

Liddy girl was so not into pictures at first. But I like this cute sister one.

It is near impossible to get two babies to smile at the same time...we did our best.

I love this toothless grin. Lydia will be 4 months next week. She has way passed the newborn stage/size but we still call her a newborn babe, we hold onto that newborn status.  She is wearing 6 months clothes, rolling over both ways, and talking and singing all the time. She loves her jumper and loves standing up, pretending to be big. She is definitively a Mama's girl and still loves snuggles with Mama all day. (we are really utilizing that baby carrier) She is such a joy!

They look like they're on a picnic.

I love this naked bunny ones. Just so precious.

Lydia LOVED the daffodils so much. We had to watch her close because she wanted to eat them!
haha Addie's Bunny face is hilarious

I love these two little bunnies of mine.

Little Addie Ruth

Addie is getting so big! I can't believe that in a little more than 2 months she will be 3!
I love this bright eyed, talkative girl. She keeps us on our toes with the questions she asks and the funny things she says.
We went to the Fish Hatchery yesterday and she had so much fun feeding the fish.

Addie has been asking for Mommy time, so we had Mommy/Addie makeovers yesturday.
Addie did my makeup, Don't I look gorgeous! She kept saying "You new more blue eye-shadow mama!"

She may be a handful but I love this sweet girl and it breaks my heart that she won't stop growing up! I want her to always beg me to play puzzles, play tea party, and not be embarrassed when her mommy kisses her in public. I hope she stays a free spirit and is never afraid to dance in her underwear, or make friends WHEREVER we go, and that she always thinks she's pretty. I want her to always asks me to snuggle her, and say, "I want to hold you Mama." I just want her to stay little and innocent forever!
