a healthy 8lbs 11oz 20" long
I started having contractions about 2pm on Tuesday, I wasn't totally convinced it was labor so I tried walking it off but by 3 they got really hard and really fast and I starting crying for Keith. So he rushed home from work.
By the time we got to the hospital I could hardly walk so my mom parked the car and Keith hobbled me in, where my water proceeded to break all over the hospital sidewalk....seriously everywhere.
By 6pm I was still only at a 6 or 7 and in alot of pain because apparently I can only have face up babies that cause really bad back labor. So I asked for an epidural. But within 5 min, literally, of having it put it I was pushing...I went from a 6 to a 10 in less than an hour. My mom, Kaylie and Jared barely made it back in the room to witness the birth!
Her birth was seriously perfect and was exactly how I wanted it to go, (I wanted to go natural and kind of did as the epidural didn't kick it till it was all over, and I felt EVERYTHING!)
I'll never forget that look of her chunky screaming face looking up at me for the first time, or seeing her thick head of strawberry blond hair, just like Mommy's.
It was so nice at this birth to have such a awesome support team there. I wasn't sure how my sister Kaylie and brother Jared would do, but they seriously helped so much and I'm so grateful they got to be there.
Addie got to come shorty after to see her new baby sister. And yes her outfit looks super goffy, Grandpa was unsure how to dress her for the occasion.
But she was so excited to meet the baby, and had to give loves immediately.
I love this picture taken the next day of me and my girls!
We are seriously loving baby Lydia. She is just the perfect Christmas gift and we couldn't be more in love with her!

Beautiful family!
