I feel like the blessings have been pouring down on us lately. It truly has been a humbling and amazing experience that I just had to share.
Blessing #1
Our New House
Finding a new home at the beginning of the year felt like a big feat. It was so discouraging to be put on wait-list after wait-list for a home we really loved only to be told we didn't get it. When we finally felt like giving up and resigning at our tiny, overgrown apartment we had a home open up that was in the PERFECT location. It is exactly where we wanted to be. We had applied for 2 other homes in that area and been rejected but this one was a bit nicer with a bigger backyard and it was on a Court very far from Sunrise. (a very busy road) We got approved the next day and moved in a week later. And we have NO DOUBT this is where Heavenly Father wanted us to be. He provided for us when we felt so lost.
Blessing #2
Addie's Asthma
Addie was diagnosed with asthma officially in November and since then, with the cold and flu season she had been having a very rough go. We were doing treatments daily sometimes more than once a day! Her doctor prescribed her with a daily steroid to help. I was very apprehensive about it. I really don't like the idea of giving a young baby like that a daily medication unless they absolutely need it. I tried it for a week and didn't see a big change, so we stopped it. Keith gave her a blessing and within a week or so she seemed so much better! Even now, with a cold she has, she is doing very well. I know it was from that Priesthood blessing that protected her and help her to heal without the need of a daily steroid. We are so grateful.
Blessing #3
Kim's new Job
After moving in our new home we knew finances would be a little tighter but we where committed to making it work. But without really asking I got a raise and offered more hours at my job. It was enough that I could quit Tricks and just work two full days each week. I had been praying for a long time that I would be able to be at home with Addie more. It was very hard for me to leave her 4-5 days a week to work. I just really felt like I was missing so much of the precious time with her when she's so little. So this was an answer to a prayer and was such a blessing to realize that I could work just a little longer 2 days a week and have 5 other days that I can just be home with my little one, AND still make more money.
Blessing #4
Tax Return
Shortly after this we did our taxes a received a very large, unexpected return. It was SO nice to know we didn't have to worry about finances of moving into a new home, (and buying a fridge, washer and dryer, and necessary things for the new home). We would have a good chunk to put into savings if something were to happen. We felt so grateful to have that cushion.
Blessing #5
Keith's New Job
In February Keith had a new job fall into his lap. My sister's husband's brother (confusing) works for company called BG Fleming. They develop and support a computer program for car dealerships. He gave Keith a call and said he would love to have Keith work there. One thing lead to the next and he was working at his new job two weeks later. The job pays A LOT more than his other job, and he is able to leave later in the morning and get home earlier, aka more time home with us! We felt like Heavenly Father was watching put for us.
Blessing #5
New Car
Because of Keith's new job, he had to get a car to be able to get there. With his other job he would bike about 1.5 hours each way to get there. This was not only EXHAUSTING for him but it made him have to leave really early in the morning and get home really late. But with his new job he couldn't bike as it was to far and had no bus route to get there either. So after looking at our options we leased a 2014 Kia Forte for his commuter car. It has been a big blessing for him to have a car and get home so much earlier each evening. (I don't feel like walking outside for a picture right now)

Blessing #6
Gallbladder
When my Gallbladder pain first started we were very worried. We knew that I would most likely have to have it removed but the cost of was so overwhelming. The surgery itself costed A LOT not to mention the time I would be out of work and the extra expense of having to eat out or do freezer meals for a few days after the surgery. It was a big worry on our minds, and a big reason why I tried so hard to put off the surgery for so long. But as the time came closer to have it removed the means to pay for the surgery fell into our laps and it was as if a door opened with options for us to make this necessary procedure possible.
My mom took Addie for this whole week so I could recover and Keith didn't have to miss work and our ward, without me even asking, provided us with a few meals to help the first few days. Heavenly Father knew exactly what we needed.
I was also very worried about having the surgery itself. There can be some scary side effects and I was worried about going under anesthesia. But before the surely I had many many blessing that reassured me that I would be ok. I was promised that the surgery would go perfectly, that I would recover and suffer from no complications or side effects. I even was blessed to receive my wish and have no memory of being put under in the operating room. The whole experience of being in the hospital is a faint blur.
Whenever we feel burdened with physical pain, financial burdens, or feel like we are carrying load far beyond our abilities, we are NEVER ALONE. Even when we feel lost and unable to find a solution to our problems we are ALWAYS being guided, or gently nudged to where he wants us to be. I never imagined that things would turn out the way they all have, I could not imagine how wonderful they have turned out. They far exceeded my desires and expectations and I feel so blessed. I know that our Father in Heaven knows us all individually otherwise he would not have know how to bless me so personally. I know that he is always there even when we can't feel it, He is always guiding us and preparing us for bigger and better things that we could never possibly imagine. And I cannot wait for them!
