6 Weeks of Crafting

I love crafting, and sewing, but finding time or (remembering to grab the items I need to finish a craft while I'm out), really never happens. So in March, one the many Crafty Blogs I read challenged everyone to do 6 weeks of crafting.
Basically every week, for 6 weeks you choose a craft you've been wanting to do or that has been sitting unfinished and you do it. I didn't start until the end of March so I'm a bit behind. But here are the projects I did.

#1: Craft Corner in the Garage
I have needed a space for a while now, where my unfinished projects would be safe from little hands and where I could leave out unfinished things without taking up the whole dining room. So I stole a little corner of the garage, used an old table we had, and made myself a special place, all my own, for crafting. I love it!

#2: Easter Dresses
For my second project I whipped out 3 matching Easter dresses for Addie, Lydia, and cousin Amelia. They looked darling on Easter all matching!

#3: Hair bows and Bow ties
I used some old T shirts, leftover fabric, and tool from other projects and made hair bows and headbands for the girls. I also made a bow tie for cousin Austin so he could match the girls on Easter. It may have not been his favorite thing to wear, but it was darling on him.

#4: Photo Canvas
I've been gathering items to make a photo collage wall in Me and Keith's room. Photo canvases are SOO expensive so I followed a Pinterest tutorial on how to make your own. I love how it turned out and am now working on two other bigger ones. I probably saved myself $50 making my own too.

#5: T-shirt Nightgowns
Addie has outgrown all her clothes, so I've been looking for cheap jammies. I hate how something they are going to sleep in costs upwards of $12, I mean really! So I grabbed some old T shirts and followed yet another Pinterest Tutorial on how to make them into night dresses. They are great because they are super soft from being worn already, and they were free! And my model is simply ADORABLE!

#6: Hurricane Vase
\
The last one was a super easy, fast one because both girls were sick and I had little time. I took an old candlestick and a $1 store tall vase and glued them together. Its just a cute decorative vase that I'll use to fill candy for Addie's Birthday party soon.

Overall, 6 weeks of crafting was super fun. It totally helped me get back into crafting and sewing, and gave me some "me" time during the week.  I think I might do it again in another couple of weeks. Until then!
